Short peer review

The assignment for week 7 is to write a short peer review on one blog of my fellow students. This peer review mainly consists of describing the good and bad points of the blog and I will provide some recommendations.
I have chosen to write a peer review on the blog of Johnny Broeders, Wouter van den Buuse, Leo van der Wal and Ellen Valckx. On their blog they discuss the problem of Marc Adriani of BNN. http://tsci2009.blogspot.com/
The first thing I notice when I look at their blog is that the lay-out is very professional. They have not used a lot of color and kept the background neutral. They only used a big header, which I think is a example of 'less is more'.
The second thing I like about their blog is that they introduce their selves in the first article they have posted and that there is a link to their Hyves profile. They also introduce and explain the central question very well.
The language they use in their articles is very understandable, because it is not to academic, which I like. Another thing I like very much about their blog is that they have used one article per assignment, so you can read the whole assignment at once. They also have used SlideShare in different ways, which I think is very ingenious. A negative point of using SlideShare so many times is that people only look at the lay-out and maybe not pay a lot attention to the information of the articles. Every assignment is well built up and ends with a clear conclusion.
A negative point about this outline is that there is a lot of information you have to read and that the conclusion is mostly a bit short. Maybe this could be a point of recommendation.
Another negative point can be that the assignment of week 4 is very brief. I think that not all participants have written the same length of the article.
To end this peer review about the blog of Johnny Broeders, Wouter van den Buuse, Leo van der Wal and Ellen Valckx, I want to say that I think it is impressive that this group made such a good blog, even after Leo van der Wal decided to quit. Furthermore I enjoyed reading this blog, because of all the new viewpoints they showed the reader every time. I think they put a lot of effort in making this blog!
